Maintenance Dept. Clerk
Prestage Farms of North Carolina
Monica, who grew up on a farm and studied mechanics and welding in school, has felt right at home in our Maintenance department since 2014. There, she processes maintenance job orders and handles parts inventory.
Assistant Hatchery Manager
Prestage Farms of North Carolina
Jake keeps things running smoothly in our hatchery where he tracks inventory of supplies including vaccines and filters; handles boxing and shipping of eggs; and monitors poult and egg quality and incubator performance.
Sow Farm Manager
Prestage Farms of North Carolina
As manager of one of our sow farms, Salvador oversees daily operations, provides leadership and direction to farm staff, and ensures herd health and safety of the animals and employees.
Nursery and Finishing Production Manager

After working for six years in the pork production industry at two other companies and feeling like he wasn’t being given the opportunity to reach his professional goals, Gene joined Prestage Farms in 2000 and hasn’t looked back.
Sow Service Person
Prestage Farms of North Carolina
Felicia joined the Prestage Farms team in 1993 after her uncle—a Prestage employee for several years—suggested she should work with us. She provides production oversight for eight sow farms, working closely with the farms’ managers and caretakers to monitor the health of all of the sows and their pigs.
Marketing Manager
Prestage Farms of Iowa, LLC
Chris joined Prestage Farms in 2007. He manages the delivery of market-weight pigs from grower family farms and company-owned farms to the Prestage Foods of Iowa processing facility.

Lynchburg, SC
Zan Tomlinson—with wife Mary Adele, kids Eli and Mazie, and invaluable employees— operates Tomlinson Farms, started by his father and grandfather, and Struttin’ Up Farms, which he founded in the late 2000s.
Sampson and Wayne Counties, NC
Strickland Farms is a seventh-generation family farm operation run by Reginald “Reggie” Strickland and his father, Garrett. Reggie’s wife, Laura, and kids Savannah and Grayson are instrumental, too.
Chadbourn, NC
Jordan Nance and his uncle, Matt Caines, owners of Turn Row Farms, started working with Prestage Farms in early 2021 to raise turkeys—from five weeks old to 18-20 weeks old—in four houses on their farm.
Palo Alto County, IA
Rich and Sue Haack enjoy working with livestock and have been raising pigs for Prestage Farms for 11 years. In addition to pigs, they also grow conventional and organic corn and beans.
